My galentine’s gift guide for treating your pals this February

Since Christmas and New Year have passed, we’ve all seen the shops lurch to the next big seasonal event – Valentine’s Day – which seems to split people like marmite.

I personally love the whole idea because I’m a soppy cheeseball (can’t be helped) but I know there’s plenty of people who don’t and it can all just become a bit narrow.

After all, whether romantically in love or not, we all have lots of different loves in our lives who deserve celebrating too! I love that ‘galentine’s day’ on the 13th of February has now become a thing because sometimes it’s lovely to treat our friends, just for the sake of it.

Here’s my galentines’ gift guide to help you make your friends feel special this February.

‘No such thing as a bikini body’ badge, £1.75

I couldn’t do a galentine’s gift guide without slipping in a plug for one of my own could I?! This little badge is perfect for a gift that your friend can wear with pride. I have just one left in stock but will be ordering more when sold out.

Peachy bath bomb, £3.95

Lush have brought out a seasonal bath bomb which contains peach juice, grapefruit oil and sweet davana. It’s already got rave reviews on their site and might make the perfect gift for the friend who needs some pamper time.

‘She believed she could’ pin badge, £7

I always think this is such a lovely quote and have lettered it for a couple of people in the past. I also have it on a bracelet which my sister got engraved for me. You can get it on a pin badge from Old English Co, which would make a sweet reminder for someone you love.

Spiced chocolate macaroon candle, £12

I seem to always be banging on about York Candle Company to you guys because their products just smell so damn good. Everything smells exactly as it says on the tin so I can’t wait to try this one, and think it would make a fab present for a friend who likes their cosy nights in.

Feminist t-shirt, £17.47

Because who doesn’t love a Mean Girls reference, let alone combined with a feminist fashion statment?! Here’s yours truly wearing what has to be one of my favourite t-shirts, which might make the perfect gift for one of your girls.

Liberty colouring bearhug gift box, £18.99

I featured Bear Hugs Gifts in last year’s galentine’s gift guide too because I love what they’re about – delivering all the warmth and comfort of a hug when you can’t be there personally, in the form of lovely hampers. This particular box is one of their pre-packed hampers including a mindfulness colouring book and pencils, as well as some luxury chocolate. They offer pre-packed hampers at a range of price points or you can opt to build your own from a big selection of gifts on their site.

A splash of pink biscuit gift set, £20

Honeywell biscuits are for a really special treat. This set isn’t cheap but for a reason – it includes five vanilla biscuits, hand-painted with edible paint and finished with edible gold leaf! It comes gift wrapped for a super luxe present.
