There’s something about moving house this week that’s made me appreciate my things more – it’s that weighing up I think of ditch vs keep, and working out where you want things when you’ve moved, and what you like to use the most. In this vein I thought I’d share my little corner of our new room and tell you about some products I keep close to hand that I love.
I was given this sleep mist as a birthday present a couple of years ago (yes I’ve eked it out that long!) and it is the loveliest thing. It smells of gorgeous lavender and a little spritz on my pillow before bed sets me up perfectly for a relaxing sleep. I’m sadly down to the last few drops but this is definitely one I’m going to have to go out and re-purchase.
You’ll know if you’ve read my other beauty blogs that I’m a big Liz Earle fan, and I love putting this moisturiser on just before bed. It smells so clean and fresh, and quickly soaks into skin without feeling at all greasy.
Probably my favourite perfume ever. I’m one of those people that will just be like “you smell nice, tell me what you’re wearing!” and this is how I came across Flowerbomb. I’m no good at describing smells but the ‘notes’ are bergamot, tea, jasmine, freesia, orchid, rose and patchouli. Although it’s not cheap I’ve managed to use Christmas present allowance on it the last couple of years – and this may well become an annual thing given how much I love it!
I should of course moisturise every day, but I haven’t nailed that habit yet. When I do love to use this cream though is just after shaving my legs, when they’re feeling a little dry and sensitive. It smells heavenly and is really soft and soothing. It also has a matching body wash which I definitely need to go out and re-purchase because it’s much gentler on skin than a lot of other brands, having a natural foaming agent rather than Sodium Lauryl Sulfate.
This hand cream is the one they offer at the till for a pound, which goes to charity. With it being an add-on, I wasn’t sure how good the product would be but honestly it’s gorgeous! It’s smells beaut and and has a velvety texture, soaking in quickly. What’s more, despite the size of this tiny 10g tub it actually lasts quite a bit longer than you would think.
So there you have it – these are the bits and bobs I like to have by my bedside! What are the products you love to use over and over?
