Pastille nail art Leeds

Everyone knows the big shopping centres in Leeds, but there are some gems nestling right in amongst the hubbub that don’t always get shouted about. These are some of my favourite little corners of Leeds…

1) Decléor Spa
Tucked away above House of Fraser on Briggate, there’s a little Decléor sanctuary of calm, offering treatments from massages to waxes to facials. Last summer after a bout of illness I treated myself to a neck and shoulder massage, the woman was lovely and it’s so relaxing in the room you’d hardly know you were in the centre of town. Most importantly though, the massage was GREAT. At the end I was even given a goody bag with mini Decléor products to continue the spa experience at home.

2) Arts Café

My FAVOURITE restaurant in Leeds. The food is always delicious and I never get bored of going, since the menu gets regularly updated. It’s amazing quality for the price, a cosy atmosphere and I haven’t had bad service yet. My tip is to go before 7pm on any day except Saturday as they do an awesome early bird menu.

3) Fred Aldous
A crafty person’s heaven. Full of just about everything you could need to make and paint and do, I often get supplies there but it’s also the perfect place to browse for inspiration. And it’s not just materials, they also sell cards, books and ready made gifts.

4) Pastille

Pastille beauty bar have quickly been getting a reputation as the coolest nail salon in Leeds, mostly for their super creative nail art but also for their excellent service. They recently won best salon in Leeds at the Treatwell UK awards, so perhaps not quite a hidden gem, but not everyone knows about them and in my opinion, they need to! Their Instagram is worth a follow too – @pastillebeauty
